The first thing is you have to load the grease gun carefully before using your grease gun. To achieve that, do the following: 1,Remove the head from the barrel 2,Pull back the rod handle 3,Lock the rod handle 4,Open your grease cartridge 5,Insert the grease cartridge into the gun barrel 6,Be mindful of the pull-tag which you will see on the cartridge end 7,Make sure that you have pushed the cartridge to the extent that its rim will be in close contact with the rim of your grease gun 8,Reinstall the gun barrel to the cap end but make sure that it is loose. 9,Release the rod handle 10,Depress it so that grease will flow into the head of your grease gun while forcing air out 11,Pump a little grease through the nozzle and clean it 12,Attach it to the grease gun. Apart from the above method, you can load the grease gun through suction from a tube containing grease. If you prefer this option, do the following: 1,Remove the head from the barrel 2,Introduce a large quantity of grease in the head 3,Place the gun barrel over the tube of grease 4,Insert the gun barrel about 5.1 cm into the grease 5,As you pull up the rod handle, apply pressure on the barrel to push it down 6,Lock the plunger when it extended to the fullest 7,When the barrel is filled up, move the barrel sideways to cut off any extra grease. 8,Clean the whole parts using a rag, stiff paper or a paper towel. 9,Attach the barrel of the grease gun to the main device 10,Unlock the handle 11,Pump the handle, and the grease will start flowing. Choose the target location on the part After you have loaded the grease gun correctly, the next thing is to identify the exact location where you want to lubricate on the part. Your first target, of course, should be the rotary part of your machinery. Applying the grease The first thing you have to do is to check if the gun is working properly by ensuring that the grease will flow smoothly. When you are certain, connect the nipple of the grease gun to the part where you want to lubricate. The next thing is to determine the quantity of grease that will be enough for the part. Then, build the pressure that will force the grease out through gun's hand crank. When you are sure that the pressure is enough, pull the trigger. Don't forget to direct the lubricant directly on the location through the gun nipple. You can also pour your lubricant by creating adequate pressure through the piston which is located at the end of the gun barrel.
